I've been exploring #CrathesCastle in Aberdeenshire, home to one of Scotland's best-known ghost stories β€” the legend of the Green Lady. πŸ‘» Legend has it that a mysterious young woman met a tragic end at the castle, and her ghost is said to haunt its halls. Even Queen Victoria was reportedly frightened by an encounter with the Green Lady... So naturally, I had to investigate for myself! After exploring the castle and its beautiful grounds during the day, it's time to see what happens after dark. Will I encounter anything unexplained, or is the Green Lady just a legend? πŸ‘‡ Have you ever visited a supposedly haunted place? Let me know in the comments! 0:00 - Spoilers 2:12 - No filming here! 3:40 - Home sweet home (for the night) 5:50 - Working hard, or hardly working 7:50 - Night hike...but are there any ghosts? It's MOT day for Travis the Ford Transit β€” but is my self-converted Mk7 Transit fit for another year on the road? Rather than sitting around waiting for the result I chat about a couple of the common reasons for an MOT fail...and I think you'll be quite surprised at just how easy they are to overlook. If you've got a Ford Transit, campervan or converted van heading for its MOT, these are a few simple things that are DEFINITELY worth checking before heading to the garage. But, the big question is...WILL TRAVIS PASS?! #MOT #FordTransit #Vanlife Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!): https://uppbeat.io/music/tracks/vens-adams/west-coast License code: 9FW50DAAVEXN8SZ1 CHAPTERS HERE 0:00 - Hello! 0:39 - Memories of an "interesting" year 2:12 - The results are in... Don't Fail Your MOT! Simple Van Checks
Having done some work on the interior of Travis, I headed to the Angus coast for a quiet night by the sea… but things didn't quite go to plan. Join me for a little Scottish vanlife adventure as I revisit a few places from childhood holidays, explore Montrose, grab some food at an epic local eatery, and then settle in for the night beside the sea with a Guinness Zero. It's what life's about, right? But the weather β€” and the waves β€” have other ideas. In the morning I FINALLY get round to visiting the @montroseairstationheritage8850 which is built on the site of the very first operational military airfield in Great Britain. Who knew, eh?! It's just another little road trip in Travis, my Ford Transit campervan. 🚐🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 If you enjoy relaxed vanlife, vanlife UK, road trips, Scottish adventures, campervan travel and exploring places around the country, why not hit subscribe and turn notifications on for future updates? Come to AllFord 2026 with us
This time we're at ALLFORD at Alford, an annual event @grampiantransportmuseum2024 And this year was the biggest turnout yet, with over 200 Fords turning up! Travis was there, along with an absolutely brilliant collection of Fords, from classic Escorts and Capris to some seriously unusual stuff. A few hours of wandering around, chatting to people, admiring the cars… and generally wondering how the hell there can be this many different ways to build a Ford. Oh, and yes β€” there was a Capri. 😏 Thanks for watching! 0:00 - Spoilers 1:40 - Capri-Sun(day) 2:18 - Roadtrip! 4:30 - Misfits assemble 9:10 - We won an award (or three...) Rarest Fords You Don't See Every Day - AllFord at Alford 2026
Time to squeeze in a night away in Travis before summer disappears completely. This time I'm heading back to Cruden Bay β€” one of my favourite spots on the Aberdeenshire coast β€” and putting the van's revamped interior through its first proper overnight test. After spending time improving the lighting, insulation and general setup, it's time to find out how it all works when I'm actually sleeping in it. Plus, for Travis, it's a chance for a trip back home... If you enjoy campervan adventures, exploring Scotland and the occasional bit of questionable DIY, you're in the right place. Remember to give us a like & follow if you fancy keeping up to speed with progress on the van. 0:00 - Spoilers 0:50 - Miles and miles of road 1:25 - Room with a view(!) 3:40 - The morning after the night before... 5:10 - A tribute to Homes Under the Hammer 7:00 - Thoughts? Solo Van Camping - I took the van back home
I finally fixed up the inside of my Ford Transit camper β€” budget van build interior makeover and it looks so much better! This is NOT a step-by-step van build β€” it's more about making some changes, seeing how it all comes together, and hopefully making Travis feel a lot more like home. Once the work is done, we head out for a proper test run and rock up at the Aberdeen Performance Car Show at Castle Fraser, where he was on the Fordy Misfits stand. I wasn't planning on bailing on this stealth camp... but sometimes the universe has other ideas. After a fall, forgetting some essential gear and a few other things not going to plan, I decided to call it a night and head home. In this vlog I explain what happened, why I made the decision to leave, and what I've learned from it. It's not all bad news though! Travis has a new little brother joining the family, and I also make a start on some interior improvements ready for AllFord nexts month.
